Soooo… Getting wifi took a little longer than I expected! 😀 But I am finally installed in my new house (with a lovely big, brand-new kitchen just for us!!) and have been taking lots of foodie pictures in the meantime, as we have been enjoying a lot of great meals recently 🙂
So that this post isn’t too long, I will divide it into two, with the second one being a selection of meal pics and recipes.
The 23rd June was mine and Jacob’s one-year anniversary (!) and one of our celebrations was going to Acorn Vegetarian Kitchen in Bath for a special meal (which is all we will be going there for, as it is very expensive!). It has a great vegan menu and is a lovely mixture of homely, rustic décor, and friendly, relaxed staff, but with very posh, beautifully presented food. For example, for a starter I had a dish called “Some Things To Do With Cucumbers”, which was extremely dainty and included grilled peeled cucumbers, fennel and sorbet! We also got some free extra nibbles. I love it there 😀
I might invent more special occasions, just so I have an excuse to go to Acorn again! 😀
Random insert – a moment of avocado appreciation:
Some useful things I found at Lidl (probably far later than I should have) are these two varieties of burgers, which are permanently in the freezers and cost just £1.39 for a pack of four:
Upcoming in the next post will be lots of foodie pics! See you shortly 🙂
